Businesses
Where can I shop and eat on Hatteras Island?

There are a few relatively new businesses on Hatteras Island that should appeal to visitors: Spa Koru in Avon and the Atlantic Coast Cafe in Waves.

Spa Koru
Spa Koru on Highway 12 in Avon is Hatteras Island's only full service spa, fitness center, salon and boutique. Their offerings include massages, facials, hairstyling, waxing, manicures and pedicures, fitness equipment and a group exercise studio. The boutique sells skincare products, spa/fitness clothing, candles and bath products. Visitors can get a daily pass for $12/day/person or a weekly pass for $45/week/person.

Atlantic Coast Cafe
The Atlantic Coast Cafe opened last fall in Waves. Located on Highway 12 across from the KOA campground, the cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open from March through December. We discovered it during our Thanksgiving trip to Hatteras. Menu items include coffee, tea, espresso drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, wraps, salads, seafood plates, rotisserie chicken and desserts. See their entire menu. I was very happy to learn that I didn't have to BYOB (bring your own bag) to find decent tea on the island! Atlantic Coast Cafe is also a Wi-Fi hot spot.
