Ocrafolk Festival will be June
2-4
The 7th Annual Ocrafolk Music and Storytelling Festival is scheduled for
June 2-4, 2006 along Schoolhouse Road and Howard Street on Ocracoke Island.
The festival will include music, stories, a mime, "chainsaw art,"
dancing, and competitions for cooking, wooden boat building and bicycle
design.

Cancer Foundation publishes 2007 calendar
The Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation has published its 2007 calendar
called "Images of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse." Fifteen local
artists and photographers contributed images to the effort. Calendars
may be purchased at many businesses on Hatteras Island or by mail order.
