Sooey's in Frisco

Sooey's BBQ Hits Frisco
Opening slightly delayed

Sooey’s BBQ and Ribs is now open in Frisco.

They had hoped to open by Fourth of July but actually opened the following Thursday (July 6). This is their fourth location on the Outer Banks; others are in Duck, Corolla and Nags Head.

Sooey’s is known for their North Carolina style pulled pork barbeque which has been field tested by one of our intrepid photographers. She believes it may be the best BBQ on the island.

Aside from barbeque and ribs, Sooey's will also feature fried chicken, smoked chicken salad and daily seafood specials. They also have special meals for kids and take out (aka Pig Out) for large groups.

Their Three Little Pigs take out feeds 10 adults and their Big Bad Wolf feeds 20.

We got a pint of pork BBQ from Sooey's in July 2006 and it was delicious. They still have a few kinks to work out with their service, however. We'll tell you more about Sooey's after we have a chance to sample more of their menu items.
